Dr Bashar has notable experience in teaching, research and web development. He started his career as a University Lecturer in 2001 after finishing his graduation in Computer Science and Engineering. In 2005, he joined the Intelligent Technology Laboratory, Inha University, South Korea Republic as a Research Assistant. He completed his PhD from University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2011. Afterwards, he joined the University of Sydney as a Postdoctoral Research Associate where he carried out research on optimisation for PET/MRI image reconstruction using high performance computing such as multiprocessing, distributed computing, OPENMP-MPI and GPU. He also worked in Western Sydney University in 2015 as a Research Associate. He has published over 35 international peer reviewed journal/conference papers. He was awarded the best student paper award in IEEE Complex Medical Imaging conference in 2009. He is currently working as a Data Scientist in a Sydney Based IT company and also serving Science, Technology and Management Crest Australia as a Director. His research interest includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Internet of Things.
